In cooperation with the Croatian Monetary Institute, the Croatian National Bank has issued commemorative gold and silver coins marking the 300th anniversary of the Sinjska Alka, 1715 – 2015, a traditional knights’ tournament, whose symbolism and cultural value have been recognised and appreciated both in the Republic of Croatia and by international cultural institutions.

The commemorative gold and silver coins are made in a special minting technique that achieves the quality of a polished plate.
