The Croatian National Bank will on 15 September 2023 release into circulation the first commemorative 2-euro coin “Member of the euro area” to commemorate the introduction of the euro as the monetary unit of Croatia on 1 January 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coin, designed by the sculptor Nikola Vudrag and minted by the Croatian Mint, will be issued in the amount of 250,000 pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The euro coin will be available for purchase as of 15 September 2023 at the counters of banks<\/a> and at the CNB’s cash desk<\/a>. A maximum of five (5) euro coins per single transaction\/person can be exchanged in the first weeks following the issuance in order to make it available to the largest possible number of Croatian citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Croatian Mint enables citizens to purchase coins in a coin card pack, for which pre-orders will be available from September 15, 2023 on the website of the Croatian Mint<\/a>, with a limit of a maximum of ten (10) coin card per transaction\/person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
