Continuing the series of collector coins “Croatian Innovators”, the Croatian National Bank in cooperation with the Croatian Mint, has issued the gold coin “Puretić’s Power Block”. The one ounce (31.103 grams) gold coin, in the 100 euro denomination, is available in a limited edition of only 100 pieces. Minted in 999.9/1000 gold belongs to the investment gold category and comes in a box with a certificate signed by the governor of the Croatian National Bank.

Mario Puratić invented a revolutionary mechanical device for hauling nets, known as the “Power Block”. This invention enabled faster and more efficient hauling of fishing nets, reducing the physical strain on fishermen and increasing fishing productivity. Puratić’s “Power Block” has been recognized and valued worldwide, making a lasting contribution to the global fishing community. Puratić patented the invention in 1954, and it began being used in Croatian fisheries in 1963.

The conceptual design is by Croatian sculptor Jelena Mavrić Varga.

On the obverse side of the coin, the central motif features a stylized depiction of Puratić’s “Power Block,” while the reverse side is adorned with a symbolic representation of a fishing boat at sea, honoring Puratić’s significant contribution to the fishing industry.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it will be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer will be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 2 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer is obliged to send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
