Croatian Mint presents the official Croatian euro coin set for 2026 in Proof quality. This annual issue contains all denominations of Croatian euro and euro cent circulation coins bearing the year 2026, minted in the highest minting quality.

The official set is available in a limited mintage of only 500 pieces. Euro Set Vukovar 2026 is dedicated to the city that has held an important place in Croatian history and cultural heritage for centuries.

Vukovar is located at the confluence of the Vuka River and the Danube, and it was first mentioned in written sources at the beginning of the 13th century. Thanks to its position on important river and land routes, it developed into a significant commercial and transport centre. Its rich history is still visible today in the city centre, Eltz Castle, and the archaeological site of Vučedol Archaeological Site.

In the immediate vicinity of the city, the Vučedol culture developed, one of the most significant chapters of European prehistory, known for its ceramics, advanced metalworking, and rich symbolism. It is precisely this combination of prehistoric heritage and later urban development that makes the Vukovar area unique and recognisable.

Throughout history, Vukovar has been a meeting point of different cultures and influences, reflected in its architecture, everyday life, and cultural heritage. The Danube, as one of Europe’s most important rivers, has further shaped the city’s identity, connecting it with other European regions and giving it an important role in trade and exchange.

With this issue, the annual set of circulation euro coins gains additional symbolism, connecting modern currency with the heritage of the city on the Danube. Although identical to the coins used in everyday circulation, in this set they are presented as a complete story of time, place, and continuity.

The official euro set comes in elegant packaging with a numbered certificate signed by the Director of the Croatian Mint, further confirming the authenticity of the issue.
