The Croatian National Bank in cooperation with the Croatian Monetary Institute has issued the numismatic sets of commemorative gold coins in the denominations of 5, 2 and 1 kuna and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 lipa with the motifs of the nine denominations of the circulation coins of the Republic of Croatia and mint year 2021, marking the Independence Day of the Republic of Croatia, 25 June 2021.

The coin design is by the sculptor Kuzma Kovačić. The commemorative coins placed in these sets were minted by the Croatian Monetary Institute.

The packaging for the gold set is a “Croatian cube”, a monumental object that radiates strength and importance, intended for display in a visible place like a sculpture. The cube, a three-dimensional version of the Croatian heraldic element of the square, is made of oak and olive, valuable trees also found on the denominations of Croatian coins. The gold denominations in capsules are housed inside a checkerboard packaging of stand-alone oak and olive pedestals that can be pulled out for an impressive presentation.

The gold sets are minted in brilliant uncirculated technique and the mintage is limited.

The mintage of the gold set is 30 pieces.

Single denominations are not sold; only sets of nine denominations are sold as a complete product. For technical characteristics of each denomination, click on the table in order to enlarge it.

In due time, Croatia will have introduced the euro as the official currency, which makes this limited series of numismatic sets a rare and valuable memento of the significance of Croatia’s year-long currency – the kuna.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it shall be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer shall be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 24 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer shall send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 24 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 24 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
