The Croatian National Bank in cooperation with the Croatian Mint has issued the silver collector coin “Puretić’s Power Block”. The one-ounce (31.103 grams) silver coin, in the 4 euro denomination, is minted in 999.9/1000 silver and is a perfect gift for special occasions. The silver coin has been issued in 1,000 pieces and comes in a box with a certificate signed by the Governor of the Croatian National Bank.

The second edition in the series of collector coins “Croatian Innovators” is dedicated to another great Croatian innovator, Mario Puratić. His achievements have forever changed the fishing industry, and with this edition, the Croatian National Bank aims to honour our outstanding inventor.

The designer of the design, Croatian sculptor Jelena Mavrić Varga, presents a story that may not be widely known but certainly deserves to be told.

On the obverse side of the coin, the central motif features a stylized depiction of Puratić’s “Power Block,” while the reverse side is adorned with a symbolic representation of a fishing boat at sea, paying tribute to Puratić’s significant contribution to the fishing industry.
