The Croatian Mint proudly presents latest collector coin dedicated to Croatian lace. The 1/4 ounce (7,776 g) gold coin “Lace-making in Croatia” is made of 999.9/1000 pure gold and belongs to the category of investment gold. Available in a limited series of only 1,000 pieces, it represents an exceptional gift for special occasions.

Lace, being delicate and precise handicraft, has deep roots in European cultural history, especially in the 15th century. Lace makers of that time created this art by hand, laying the foundations for what would later be considered invaluable cultural heritage. In early days, lace was reserved for the clergy and the nobility, used to adorn religious vestments and luxury clothing. Over time, lace became accessible to a wider population and entered the common people’s culture, becoming a part of the rich ethnographic heritage. Lace adorned traditional women’s clothing, household linens, and various everyday items. UNESCO recognized the value of this heritage and, in 2009, granted it the status of intangible cultural heritage.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it will be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer will be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 2 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer is obliged to send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
