The Croatian National Bank, in collaboration with the Croatian Mint, has issued the gold collector coin “August Šenoa” as part of the “Croatian Literature” series. The 1/8 ounce gold coin (3.888 grams), with a face value of 20 euro, is available in a limited series of 150 pieces. Minted in Brilliant Uncirculated quality, this coin is made from 999.9/1000 gold and belongs to the investment gold. Each coin comes in a luxurious box with a certificate of authenticity signed by the Governor of the Croatian National Bank.

On the obverse, the author of the design Duje Matetić has depicted August Šenoa, one of the most important Croatian writers and an author regarded as the founder of modern Croatian literature. Through his work, he left a profound mark on the cultural and social life of the 19th century, and his name still denotes one of the most important periods in Croatian literary history – the Šenoa era.

The reverse features the Stone Gate, one of Zagreb’s most recognisable landmarks, evoking the world of Šenoa’s best-known novel “The Goldsmith’s Gold”. As an enduring symbol of the city that so deeply shaped his work, the Stone Gate creates a symbolic link between August Šenoa’s literary legacy and the Zagreb to which he gave such a distinctive imprint through his writing.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it will be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer will be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 2 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer is obliged to send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
