THE GOLD COIN “Faust Vrančić’s innovations” IS SOLD OUT!

The Croatian National Bank in cooperation with the Croatian Mint has issued a gold collector coin “Faust Vrančić’s innovations”. The one ounce (31.103 grams) gold coin is issued in the 100 euro denomination and is available in a limited series of 300 pieces. Minted in 999.9/1000 gold belongs to the investment gold category and comes in a box with a certificate signed by the governor of the Croatian National Bank.

The man who is credited with inventing the parachute as we know it today, published the book “Machinae novae” in Venice in 1615, which collected his best works and far-sighted projects that would find their practical application hundreds of years after they were printed. Two of the most famous inventions are motifs on the new collector euro coins, with which the Croatian Mint is launching a commemorative series of collector coins “Croatian Innovators”, with the aim of promoting Croatia as a land of knowledge and drawing attention to the inventions of domestic scientists who have significantly contributed to various fields of natural and technical sciences.

Two Croatian sculptors collaborated on the design of this coin: Jelena Mavrić Varga who designed the reverse of the collector coin and Paula Banić Vudrag who designed the obverse of the collector coin. The reverse side of the collector coin shows Vrančić’s original drawing under the number 38. “HOMO VOLANS” – Flying man with the first printed drawing of a parachute while the obverse of the collector coin shows a drawing of a mill in a round tower driven by the power of the wind. Both of them have their place in Vrančić’s historical book “Machinae novae”.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it will be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer will be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 2 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer is obliged to send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
