The Croatian National Bank, in collaboration with Croatian Mint, has issued the gold coin “Vučedol Culture” as part of the “Croatian Heritage” series. The one-ounce gold coin (31.103 grams), with a face value of 100 euro, is available in a strictly limited mintage of only 50 pieces. Minted in Proof quality, this coin is made from 999.9/1000 gold and belongs to the investment gold. It is presented in a luxury box with a numbered certificate signed by the Governor of the Croatian National Bank.

On the obverse, author of the design Matej Pašalić depicts the motif of the Vučedol boot – one of the most recognisable archaeological finds of the Vučedol Culture. This small yet exceptionally valuable object reflects highly developed craftsmanship, precision in production, and a refined sense of function and aesthetics within a community that lived more than five thousand years ago.

The reverse features the unfolded surface of a Vučedol vessel with four bands symbolising constellations in the night sky during different seasons. It is believed that this vessel represents one of the oldest Indo-European calendars and is colloquially known as “Orion”, after a symbol frequently found on Vučedol pottery. Owing to its historical symbolism and extremely limited mintage, this gold coin represents an exceptional collector and investment piece.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it will be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer will be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 2 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer is obliged to send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
