The Croatian National Bank, in collaboration with the Croatian Mint, has issued a coloured five-ounce (155.518 grams) silver coin “Croatian Coldblood” with a nominal value of 8 euro. The silver collector coin is available in a limited series of 300 pieces. Minted in 999.9/1000 silver in Brilliant Uncirculated quality it is a suitable gift for special occasions and comes in a box with a certificate signed by the Governor of the Croatian National Bank.

The Croatian Coldblood is an indigenous horse breed that has been bred in Croatia for centuries, primarily for agricultural and working purposes. Recognizable for its muscular build and gentle temperament, it has long been an indispensable companion in the fields and forests of Croatia. Today, it stands as a symbol of diligence, endurance and deep connection with the traditions of rural Croatia.

The artistic design was created by Nikola Vudrag, who depicted the horse’s head on the obverse and the full figure of the horse on the reverse, forming a harmonious composition that celebrates both strength and beauty.
