As part of the “Croatian Heritage“ series, the Croatian National Bank in collaboration with the Croatian Mint has issued a half ounce (15.552 grams) gold collector coin with a nominal value of 50 euro. The “200th Anniversary of the Samobor Carnival” gold coin is issued in a limited series of just 200 pieces.  Minted in 999.9/1000 gold, it belongs to the investment gold category and comes in an elegant box with a certificate signed by the governor of the Croatian National Bank.

Protected as intangible cultural heritage, the Samobor Carnival has for centuries celebrated satire, free expression and shared joy. It is a rare space where reality is viewed with distance, commented on without restraint and transformed into a witty social chronicle. At the heart of this edition is Magpie, the most recognisable figure of the Samobor Carnival, an ever-present chronicler of events and a distinctive voice of the people.

The artistic design is by Karlo Gross, who, through a contemporary approach, shapes a story of a tradition that still has much to say today – as loud, clear and witty as it is on the streets of Samobor.

Purchase and payment information

By confirming the order, it will be considered that the Buyer agrees with the price of the Product and other costs, and the Buyer will be sent a purchase quotation and/or an order confirmation via e-mail.

If the Buyer is paying by wire transfer, once the quotation is delivered to the Buyer by e-mail, the price indicated on the quotation is valid for 2 hours from the moment of delivery of the quotation.

The Buyer is obliged to send a confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation to the e-mail address of the Seller: [email protected].

In case the Buyer does not deliver the confirmation of payment to the Seller within 2 hours from the delivery of the quotation, the price indicated on the quotation is no longer valid and the Buyer is obliged to place a new order.
